Day 4

Yesterday, I forgot to email the list to myself so I couldn't post it. But here it is!

Day 4

There are lots of things to be grateful for today.
  • I’m grateful for the drug, Zofran. It was developed by GlaxoSmithKline, which is a pretty great company in England. I think they developed it originally for cancer patients and then it was determined that it works wonders for poor pregnant women with morning sickness. I am grateful that it can help with morning sickness and it doesn’t hurt the baby.
  • I’m grateful for the Career Fair that my husband gets to go to today. He will be talking with a lot of business professionals for a lot of the companies he has thought about working for. We’re hoping and praying he will have lots of offers and that he will be able to pick the career that is going to be the best for our family.
  • I’m grateful for raspberries! I love them.
  • I’m grateful that our cat seemed to be almost as tired as we were last night and so he only tried to nibble on my feet two or three times. The rest of the time he was asleep in the bathroom sink or at the foot of our bed.
  • I’m grateful for the cafeteria on the other side of the hospital that I like to go and eat at. They have really yummy, cheesy pizza and since it’s on the other side, I get to get in my daily walk. I’m getting in my pregnant exercises.
  • I’m grateful for little sewing kits. Yesterday we fixed up Austin’s pants. Recently I’ve also been making some little hair bows for our baby girl too. Without a sewing machine it’s a little difficult, but I’m learning how to sew by hand better.
  • I’m grateful for a much needed break at work.
  • I’m grateful for the time I got to spend with Austin last night just talking about jobs, where we thought it would be nice to live, what kind of things were important to us moving forward. It was so nice to just talk about our little family and what we wanted to. It’s like we’re playing house!
  • I’m grateful for a computer at work.
  • I’m grateful for our Sherpa Chairs.
  • I’m grateful for the air mattress we have.
  • I’m grateful for the quesadilla I’m going to make for dinner tonight.
  • I’m grateful for the thermostat in our office.
  • I’m grateful every time I feel the baby kick.
  • I’m grateful for the street lamp outside our window so that when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom I don’t trip over everything.

My 2 cents of Advice for Pregnant Women

If you are nearing your 3rd trimester, do not wait to go to the bathroom. If you wait, you could end up in the ‘I have to pee so bad, it hurts’ club. And it happens VERY quickly. And it REALLY does hurt.
